Hello, my name is Janet Groom
ALP House Publishing was born when I decided to write and publish my own fiction and non-fiction books.
Why ‘ALP House’?
Well, the name was inspired when I was living in the heart of the Swiss Alps in a tiny mountain village in canton of Valais. The view of the snow-capped mountains was stunning and it inspired me in many ways.
While living in the mountains, writing was an integral part of my healing journey. I find great power in creating stories and hope they will inspire readers to transform their lives in positive and uplifting ways by finding their strength within to overcome personal trauma, depression and life challenges.
Now, I am super excited to be opening up ALP House Publishing to offer a range of services to support anyone who is interested in writing and publishing their own uplifting fiction or non-fiction book.
Undertaking your book project journey can be overwhelming like starting to climb a mountain. However, just like setting out to conquer that mountain, it becomes much easier and more fun when you have someone supporting you along the way.
I promise you, it will become an amazing adventure – one that you will never forget as it will be one of your greatest achievements.
If you have an idea for a book, I would be happy to talk to you about how I can help you achieve your goal.
This book was a long-held dream come true and working with the ALP House team made the whole process simple and straightforward. I love the book and I love that it was a joy to create.
During lockdown it was great to have some of my artwork included in the UPLIFT book. The project brought all the contributors together when we needed connection and raise money for some worthwhile charities.
It was an honour to be invited to be part of this uplifting project and share my own Love Letter to Uplift the World. The book is colourful and I am proud to be part of something which aims to make a positive difference through LOVE.
Working with Janet was easy and she made the process simple and easy from the outset. I look forward to working with Janet again for my next book.
